I cannot in my wildest dreams imagine myself running from my son,  fearful of death!  When this enemy son died, David said... “The king was deeply moved and went up to the chamber over the gate and wept. And thus he said as he walked, "O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! Would I had died instead of you, O Absalom, my son, my son!"  2Sam 18:33   There’s a beautiful song that uses the words of this psalm...  “Hymn,  Shield About Me”,  Psalm 3 - Acappella - A Cappella.  Google  “A Shield About Me”, it’s the third entry down.  Reading these words, and listening to the song should give you a great start to the week!  Remember,  “The Lord is for us...”

Our Prayer:
Shield us from evil,  O God of eternity.  Be Thou our glory, and the lifter of our heads.  Answer our hearts as we open them to You.   Our salvation is from You, O Father God, thank You for the living hope You have given us in Christ Jesus.  In our Savior’s name,   Amen.
